Soya Chunks Pulav

Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice
1 bay leaf
1 big onion sliced cut
1 tomato cut into diced
1 cup mix vegetables
(Potato, green peas, carrot,French beans)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup soya chunks
2-3 cloves
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
2 green chilly chopped fine
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander cumin powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
salt
3 tbsp oil/ghee

 

Method

Rinse 2-3 times the basmati rice in water ,and it Soak in water for 10-15 minutes.

Rinse and soak the soya chunks in hot water for 10-15 minutes, the soya chunks will be all most double in size. Drain access water and again risen them 2-3 times so the smell goes away

In a pressure cooker or non stick pan add oil/ghee then add cumin seeds,bay leaf ,cinnamon stick, Cloves,after cumin start to crackle , Add onion, cook it till golden brown.

Add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw aroma goes away.

Add all the mix vegetables and cook it for few minutes minutes.

Now add all the spices tumeric, salt, garam masala, coriander cumin powder, red chilly powder.

mix well everything properly, add 2 small glass of water,soya chunks and basmati rice.

Pressure cooker it for one whistle.

Serve hot by garnishing it with fresh coriander leaves.
