It was name as makhani as the paneer and mushroom are cooked in makhani gravy, which is slight Sweet in taste . The tomato are blenched and made into puree form with the rich cashew nuts.

paneer mushroom makhani.

1 small onion chopped fine
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
5-6 Mushrooms
100 gram paneer cut into cubes
2 tbsp fresh cream
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp kitchen king
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
1/2 tsp dry fenugreek leaves
3 tbsp butter/oil

for makhani gravy
2 big onion
3 big tomato
3-4 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger
2 green chillies
8-10 cashew nuts


Cut mushroom into quarters and keep in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.

In a pan add water and boiled all the makhani gravy ingredients for few minutes . Let it come to room temperature then add little water to it and grind it to puree in a mixture.

properly stain the puree in a strainer so that the tomato and lumps get removed,

Take Pan add butter or oil, when it get hot add cumin seeds as soon it start to crackle add chopped onion saute it till golden brown.

Now Add the stain puree to it and cook till it start to leave oil, now add spices turmeric powder, red chilly, salt, kitchen king masala and green cardamom powder.

Add sugar, paneer cubes, mushrooms, add little half cup water,add dry fenugreek leaves and cook it for few minutes by covering lids.

Add fresh cream and remove pan from gas stove and serve paneer mushroom makhani hot with naan or roti.
